Little Boots ‘New in Town’ video

Well, Little Boots is finally due a real life, honest, physical single, ‘New In Town’, on a major label and all the trappings that go along with it.

So here’s the video, shot in LA (as LA is where the song was written during Dead Disco’s final recording sessions).

And if that’s a little too major label and big budget for you here’s a good old Little Boots funtime cover.

‘New In Town’ is released May 25th.

Fan Death – Goodbye Horses

Fan Death2

Fan Death have dropped some more dark quirky SynthPop by way of a cover of Q Lazarus’ ‘Goodbye Horses’, it’s actually better than the original!

Interestingly (or maybe not…), as well as having been covered also by SynthPop/EBM project Psyche, Q Lazarus (the band, not the singer) featured Mark Barrett, one-time member of London Electro-Industrial group Inertia. Well…what do you say to that fact fans?

Also, here’s the video for Fan Death’s massive ‘Veronica’s Veil’, directed by Nathan Drillot & Jesse Savath:

Fan Death are in the UK very soon, check their MySpace for details.

Røyksopp (Feat. Robyn) performance video!

Apparently Røyksopp haven’t performed on TV for seven years! Well, what better way to make a comeback is to perform “The Girl And The Robot” from their latest album ‘Junior’ on Swedish TV and actually bring Robyn along to do the vocals!

“The Girl And The Robot” is still one of my favourite tracks of the moment, it’s an almost perfect slice of ElectroPop. Do I smell a second single?

‘Junior’ is out now on Wall Of Sound.

New t.A.T.u. video.

I really like t.A.T.u….most people I know don’t.

What annoys me about that is no-one can seem to get past this whole lesbian shit, and if they did they would see t.A.T.u. have made some of the best electronic Pop music in the last decade, even before Trevor Horn’s involvement.

The lesbian controversy thing is a joke anyway. First middle England is up in arms about schoolgirl lesbians and then even more people seem to be angry that it turned out not to be true! Which I find bewildering. Guess what?; David Bowie wasn’t really Ziggy Stardust, Vincent Furnier wasn’t really Alice Cooper, hell, Matt Damon isn’t really Jason Bourne and those dudes from Lost, they aren’t really trapped on an island! Sometimes entertainers play different roles as part of their performance!

Anyway, it’s a pity people can’t get get over it. Three albums in and t.A.T.u. have consistently produced top quality, electronic, edgy, Pop music that a lot of people are missing out on.

So, on to the video. this is for the 4th single of the last album, ‘Vesyolye Ulybki’ (‘Happy Smiles’), called ‘Snegopady’ (‘Snowfalls’).

Stop worrying and go enjoy some t.A.T.u.:

Sandi Sirocco

Sandi Sirocco is the name of a band, not a person, and it’s a name you should remember because it one you will be hearing lots about in the coming year, these three guys and one girl based in London going to blow up, seriously!

They are one of those bands that just has you gobsmacked to learn they are unsigned. You can just tell there will be much Sandi Sirocco hype in the coming months and they will soon be fighting labels off.

The melting pot of a half-Spaniard, a Russian-Ukrainian, a Georgian and a Scot create a sound quite unlike and other Electro act out there

Their high energy Synth Disco combines analog ElectroPop of the very early futurists with the musical theatricality of early Soft Cell.

I’m gonna’ make you put in the effort and head over to their MySpace to check the music. So while you’re there, play nice and show Sandi Sirocco some love!

New video from Miss Kittin & The Hacker

Ok, so I was always a little jaded about Miss Kittin & The Hacker, I defiantly though they were overrated…I may have been wrong.

This is the video for ‘1000 Dreams’ from their forthcoming album, ‘Two’ and it’s such a good track, easily the best thing they’ve ever done.

I cannot get that riff out of my head!

I really like they way the video, directed by Régis Brochier, is shot too.

‘Two’ is released April 20th.

Red Blooded Women ‘Enjoy The Silence’ Video

Red Blooded Women have premiered the video for their current single, a cover of Depeche Mode’s ‘Enjoy The Silence’ that we first told you about here.

As much as the track is a fantastic tribute to The Mode’s original, the video is a tribute to Anton Corbijn’s original video, seeing the girls and their deck chairs trying to find silence in the middle of LDN.

Visit Red Blooded Women’s YouTube channel for an edit of the video to the 7th Haven reMix.

‘Enjoy The Silence’ is out to download April 19th, until the ‘You Made Your Bed’ EP is still available:

The Filthy Dukes’ album is out tomorrow!

Filthy Dukes‘ début album, ‘Nonsense In The Dark’ hits the shops tomorrow and it’s a seriously exiting prospect.

Featuring guest vocals from the likes of Sam Dust of Late Of The Pier, The Maccabees’ Orlando Weeks, frYars, Plastic Little & Tommy Sparks it should be a clubby Electro monster with an emphasis on proper songs.

We already raved about the single ‘This Rhythm’ here, so now you can check the video.

‘Nonsense In The Dark’ will be available tomorrow from any of the below links:
