Beaumont reMixes Róisín Murphy

RoisinMurphy02

Beaumont has sent on over his reMix of SynthPop goddess Róisín Murphy’s last single ‘Momma’s Place’ and he’s knocking it out the park again.

Working the vocals perfectly, Beaumont knows exactly when to build it and when to drop it, his Nu-Disco track never overshadowing the ElectroPop original, just lifting it to greater heights.

Acid Washed reMixes Kelis

Kelis

Acid Washed and Kelis seem to be channelling Moroder and Summer with AW’s reMix of Kelis’ new single ‘Acapella’.

The Parisian duo get their serious arpeggio ’70’s Disco groove on here and don’t scrimp on the hand claps.

While we’re at it, check out this reMix of Kelis’ biggest hit ‘Milkshake’ by Nu-Disco outfit Night Drugs, who come up with a slick Dreamwave-esq version.

Holy Ghost

DFA will be releasing the début proper EP for Brooklyn duo Holy Ghost! next month.

‘Static On The Wire’ contains four songs, the title track being a duet with Penguin Prison!!! One of the tracks, ‘Say My Name’ was featured on the latest Kitsuné Maison compilation and is a slice of soulful, perfectly executed, Disco-Rock. All reverb drenched drums, analog synths and tight riffs, great stuff!

Luxury Living

LuxuryLiving

Amongst their number is one half of the Pearl Flash DJ crew, London based trio Luxury Living have been featured on electronic rumors previously with their stellar reMix of Penguin Prison’s ‘Something I’m Not’.

Their original material really does not disappoint. We can’t help buy get exited about their unique take on bouncy Space-Disco-SynthPop. This music is analog arpeggio heaven. Of the two tracks here I think I prefer ‘Kimberly’, with it’s real Robo-Disco vibe, although ‘Everything Is Going To Be Amazing’ is probably going to be a commercial smash!

The Kids Are Radioactive reMix frenzy!

theKidsAreRadioactive

Binary Records resident Electro-House guy The Kids Are Radioactive has send on over his two latest mixes. It been a few months since we’ve heard for this, relative, youngster but these mixes show a definite progression in his style.

Tackling Lady GaGa’s worldwide hit ‘Bad Romance’ and Shane Silver’s ‘Abyss’, he really knocks it out the park with his Lady GaGa mix. There is one particular riff up in this pretty busy mix, that just works perfectly, his work on the vocals too shows and almost flawless understanding of what works on the dancefloor. Some of the sounds in his Shane Silver are a little too Virusey/Trancey for my personal tastes but when it kicks in it has got a completely rockin’ Electro groove.

Seb & Mille

Seb

London based singer/songwriter Seb is a relative newcomer, this track being his second single, but has made the astoundingly smart move of roping in Neon Gold’s resident Dreamwave guru Mille on production duties.

The result is a track that completely assimilates Pop into Dreamwave. Big, slick ElectroPop laden with Mille’s epic synth work and a killer 8-bit, oriental sounding, breakdown. It end up sounding kinda’ like a vocal Danger track.

This track is going to be huge!

‘The Other Side’ will be released soon.

NightWaves; ‘Sweet Carrie’ reMixes

NightWaves03

Binary Records guys NightWaves’ single ‘Sweet Carrie was released a few days ago and despite having sung it’s praises we think you might still need some convincing.

So here we have for you some of the reMixes that come with the single, kicking off with LexiconDon, who keep hold of the chilled summer vibe but pull it in more of a straight ElectoPop direction with stunning results. While everyone else in the world is chilling to this tune in the sun with a beverage, Walter Sobcek heads straight for the dancefloor with his take on the track leaving Alfa to crack out an arpeggio driven Electro reMix. It’s a storming reMix package, well worth a purchase!

Cinnamon Chasers’ new EP

CinnamonChasers

We, here, are big supporters of Cinnamon Chasers, their last album ‘A Million Miles From Home’ made it into the top 5 of our top 20 of 2009 so we’re pretty damn’ exited at the news of a new EP.

The ‘Sunset Drive’ EP will contain five tracks, including this one, ‘You’ which sees CC leaning in a slightly more full on Dreamwave direction whiles keeps the chilled summery vibe we love and expect from them.

The video for ‘Luv Deluxe’ which we featured way back when recently won ‘best music video’ at SXSW, and well deserved too, it’s an amazing video/track.

MiMó

mimo

MiMó is, or rather was, Erasure’s Any Bell. Having recently released his second single, ‘Will You Be There?". ‘, under the moniker (a tribute to his friend Tomeau Mimó), Andy had decided to release future records under his own name due to more than one artist already using the name Mimo.

The singles, ‘Running Out’ and, the current, ‘Will You Be There?’ are a couple of Italo influenced ElectroPop/EuroPop tunes produced by Pop producer extraordinaire Pascal Gabriel. Upbeat, dancefloor, Pop tracks with Andy’s unmistakable vocals both singles have an impressive line up of reMixers. ‘Will You Be There?’ can include amongst it’s reMix credentials this mix from French Horn Rebellion who bring a relaxed Nu-Disco flavour to the track and ‘Running Out’ features a mix from Indie-Electro band-of-the-moment Fenech-Soler who’s sweeping, chilled, Electro mix is the highlight of the single.
