New track from CSS

Brazil’s Indie-Electro loonybin CSS (Cansei De Ser Sexy) have premiered a track from their forthcoming third album, ‘La Liberación’.

‘Hits Me Like A Rock’ is a gangly guitar laced ElectroPop tune that features the vocals of none other than Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie. A meeting of Synths and a chilled Caribbean vibe, when the single is released it will feature reMixes from Dillon Francis and Depressed Buttons.

Expo’s ‘I Don’t Mind’ video

Expo, the Belgian act who  are “part of a rather well-known Belgian DJ-formation.” have premiered the video for their ‘’I Don’t Mind’ track.

It’s directed by Tim Blancke.  And the dude in it is apparently an actor named Kim Hertogs, so who Expo are we still have no  clue, no do we even know what a DJ Formation is. Loving the song though.

You can download the single from free on Expo’s Facebook page.

Southern Shores

Sit back, relax and fall in love with the music of Southern Shores.

The latest signing to the amazing Cascine, Southern Shores are about to release their début EP, ‘Atlantic’, a collection of six dreamy chilled ElectroPop tunes. Not really reverb drenched wall-of-sound enough to truly be Chillwave but the ‘Atlantic’ EP retains a Chillwave vibe while rooting the music in the late 80’s/early 90’s eclectic Pop sound that is fast becoming Cascine’s trademark. Throughout the EP the vast array of instrumentation and vocal styles pepper each track with a signature sound of it’s own while all six tunes blend into one tropical, escapist fantasy EP. The first single from the EP, ‘Night Is Young’ is the kind of track you’d hear in a House club in your dreams. Intricately crafted, layers of samples roll over one another washing and through a solid backing. Now summer is truly here, Souther Shores arrived just in time.

Southern Shores – Night Is Young

The ‘Atlantic’ EP is out 12th July.

Grum on the reMix with Nightriders

Nightriders’ new record ‘Get Hooked’ came out this week and the single includes a stunning reMix from Grum.

His version of ‘Get Hooked’ is a massive mash-up of hands-in-the-air influences, featuring the energy of early 90’s rave, some euphoric trance riffs, but none of the inherent cheesiness as the whole thing is wrapped up in a big room tune. Only Grum could make Euphoric Trance lines sound cool again.
