Goin’ Old School: Man Parrish – Hip Hop Bebop (Don’t Stop)

Man Parrish is an absolute electronic music legend, helping to shape Hip Hop, ElectroPop and Italo throughout the years. ‘Hip Hop Bebop (Don’t Stop)’ was 1982. 1982! insane.

Cavaliers Of Fun reMixes Britney Spears

In advance of their first EP release for ‘the ever-awesome Holographic People’, The awesome Cavaliers Of Fun has dropped this ElectroPoptastic reMix of Britney Spears’ ‘Til The World Ends’.

Bringing it down to the bassline and retro synth work, Mr. Ricco Vitali’s tune slides onto the dancefloor and is so slick that when the electric piano kick in it’s got the groove locked down so tight. Let the synthesizers carry you ‘til the world ends.

LIGHTS on this week’s Epic Meal Time

If you like bacon, and let’s face it who doesn’t?, you’re probably already watching Epic Meal Time. This week’s show combines two of my favourite things. Hot girls who make ElectroPop and meat as the crew are joined by Canada’s queen of SynthPop LIGHTS.

Princeton; :kinema: on the reMix

Our favourite Brigton smooth DiscoPop dudes :kinema: are back with a brand new reMix of LA Indie band Princeton’s ‘To The Alps’.

No having heard the original I can’t compare it but I do know that :kinema:’s soulful electronic Pop sends this track into smooth heaven. With some interesting instrumentation :kinema:’s commented that the track is “Partly an attempt to make a kind of twee-indie-disco version of Coma Cat by Tensnake (in a good, referential and respectful way, rather than in a bad, copying and stealing way :P)”.

Princeton – To The Alps (:kinema: reMix)

It’s always fantastic to hear new music from :kinema: so we’re doubly in luck this week as Drop Out Orchestra have just released their new single, ‘All We Need Is Time’ on the awesome Mullet Records and the track features :kinema: big time, listen to it here.

Class Actress album news

It was announced today that following last year’s amazing ‘Journal Of Ardency’ EP ElectroPop artist Elizabeth Harper, better known as Class Actress, is to release her début album later this year.

To be titled ‘Rapprocher’ the album continues Class Actress’ journey into analog fuelled SynthPop with an authentic 80’s musicality. Check out the opening track, ‘Keep You’ displays Elezabeth’s unique brand of Electro, with the enveloping, chilling, vintage synth sound tempered with her intimate 90’s Indie vocals. A winning combination that leaves us thirsting to hear the album.

Shindu’s ‘Happy House’

Kitsuné Music’s latest single release is Belgian act Shindu’s take on Siouxsie And The Banshees 1980 hit ‘Happy House’.

It’s a track that was begging for a modern workover and Shindu have certainly lived up to the challenge. Dropping Topical and Disco vibes over the song works so well. Produced by Moonlight Matters the track is already being tipped to be one of tunes of the summer. London’s ElectroPop double act supreme JBAG take it to the next level though with a huge dancefloor aimed retro monster of a track. With a killer bassline and a constant build to the finale, this records is going to tear up some floors this summer. Herr Styler contribute a deep House mix with a 90’s piano sound that turns the track into a majestic epic.

The Jesterz’ ‘Delorean’

The latest free (yes, I said free!) release for awesome Nu-Disco label Champagne Records comes correct from The Jesterz and their 80’s fuelled ‘Delorean’.

This track is just solid. Feel good electronic Disco vibes bleed out the speakers for some vocoded synthesizer Funk good times. reMixes comes from, amongst others, Mr. Ren Riz, who’s deep Disco grooves permeate every corner of the track only leaving room for more cowbell. This is proper French House goodness for the summer.
