Kimbra reMix from Sam Sparro

Sam Sparro, alongside Golden Touch, is next in line to reMix New Zealand’s queen of pop Kimbra’ ‘Cameo Lover’.

The duo go down an analog Pop route with some smooth 80’s sounds and hint of Disco yet for the chorus keeps the 60’s Pop flavour. We are rapidly approaching over saturation of ‘Cameo Lover’ reMixes so Sam got in at a good time. It’s an awesome track, but I think If I hear another reMix I’d like it to go down a road other than Disco. G.L.O.V.E.S. and Shook have done that better than most could already.

Marina And The Diamonds – Fear & Loathing

Marina And The Diamonds is back, things are going to get confusing.

So, whet we have here is part one of ‘Electra Heart’ which is, or who is, apparently a singer (not an alter-ego) who “epitomises and embodies the lies, illusions and death of American ideologies involved in the corruption of self.”. We’ll have to watch an see how this plays out. This first part is called ‘Fear And Loathing’ which features a track from Marina’s forthcoming album…called ‘Fear And Loathing’. I’m seeing a pattern here!

Jordan F’s new EP

Here we have two new tracks from Jordan F’s forthcoming EP.

The Syndey producer is soon to be treating us to a full EP of his slick retro synth epics. ‘Outrun’ is the EP’s lead track, straight-up Dreamwave electro it has all the elements you want. Driven by a punchy digital bass ‘Outrun’ is an extravagant homage to all things 80s and action packed with an upbeat hook, a sweet breakdown and a training montage of a middle eight. The EP continues with ‘Night Pursuit’  which is more of the same but with a moodier, more introspective, vibe. The 80’s bass and leads really shine through in this track. Both track nicely mix up nostalgic melodies and retro synths with solid beats and a Disco flavour. The EP will be defiantly something you should check out.

Jacuzzihidive’s ‘Turn You On’’; video & reMix

Jacuzzihidive have just premiered the brand new video for their track ‘Turn You On’.

Taken from their ‘Night Creatures’ EP that track is a cosmic Indie-DiscoPop smash and director Austin Hickman-Fain and the Super Official team have done an awesome job of capturing a Sci-Fi party vibe with the clip.

Check out the Fiction reMix of the track too. Coming from the forthcoming ‘Night Creatures reMixed’ EP the mix give the tune a slick mid-80’s DiscoPop feel.
