‘You Don’t Want To Dance With Me’ is Monarchy’s new single. Rerecorded from the album version as a duet with Britt Love from Mini Viva.

It’s an odd choice of single, but once you get into it you see how inspired it is as a decision. Mid-tempo and quirky the track will show casual Monarchy listeners that there is more to them than the big, catchy, ElectroPop epics. ‘You Don’t Want To Dance With Me’ is all rolling breakbeats and powerful, ominous, synths that provide a moody soundscape for Britt and Ra to trade vocal accusations.

It’s a week or so old now but the Acid Girls remix of Mini Viva’s ‘I Left My heart In Tokyo’ is still doin’ it, as is FC Kahuna’s work on Noah And The Whale. Youth’s reMix of Elke’s ‘Blue Dream Lover’ is a smooth dancefloor groover in contrast to Esser & A1 Bassline’s noisy Electro/Dubstep flavoured jam. Moving into a more ElectroPop arena is Cinemax with ‘Smudged’, as reMixed be Melee Beats. Bringing things crashing back to the dancefloor is Bit Funk’s take on vitaminsforyou and this weeks big hype magnet, Warp 1.9 by The Bloody Beetroots teaming up with Steve Aoki to seriously rock the place. Finally Curtis Vodka gets made over, by electronic rumors favourites DMX Krew, into a 1988 Acid House trip.
