Deluce is the next new, young, Electro-House producer from France in the line.
He creates spacy, 80’s influenced, Electro journeys that owe as much to Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis as to Danger or Kavinsky.
Wrap you ears ’round these two tracks he has dropped…

♫ Deluce – Lead The Galaxy (zShare) (MediaFire)
…and go give him some MySpace lovin’:
Busy day today, you you can entertain yourselves with two new videos that have made their début this week.
First up is the poptastic clip for Frankmusik‘s forthcoming single ‘Better Off As Two’.
Also, we have the space invader fuelled video for Røyksopp‘s now on ‘Happy Up Here’. Directed by Reuben Sutherland, this is, like most of Røyksopp’s videos, something special.
Normal service will resume.
It strikes this blogger that New Wave band Dead Disco splitting up was one of the best things to happen to UK music in the past few years. On the one hand it gave us Little Boots, and on the other it allowed Marie and Lucy to follow their own path.
That path is Video Villain, who’s demo. I am absolutely loving.
A combination of noisy beats and low-fi synth work provide the backing for some seriously catchy songs, which culminates in something that somehow manages to be raw and harsh yet at the same time incredibly poppy.
There’s nothing really to compare VV to, you’ll hear bits of Curve, maybe bits of Crystal Castles, but the girls have got more of a cool, rock ‘n’ roll, swagger to them. Imagine a bunch of late 70’s New York punks locked in a room with a couple of Korg MS-20’s…
Visit their MySpace page to sample some tracks from Video Villian’s demo.:
And check this reMix of ‘Low’ from Modernaire:
♫ Video Villain – Low (Modernaire reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)
My wish for Video Villain is that when they get signed (and they will get signed) the lucky label doesn’t get some producer to polish them up.
Dirty, grungy Electronica all the way!
Currently unsigned (a travesty!), head on over to their MySpace to show them some love and while you’re there pick up a copy of their limited edition demo..
If you like Danger or Kavinsky you could do a lot worse than checking out ModernEyes, cool retro Electronica with that 80’s-straight-to-video-soundtrack vibe I love so much in Kavinsky’s stuff.
The two slices of Electro Disco here would work just as well on the Walkman as on the dancefloor.
♫ ModernEyes – Night Rider (zShare) (MediaFire)
♫ ModernEyes – War (zShare) (MediaFire)
The guys are currently in the studio recording their début EP, until then give ’em some MySpace love!
UPDATE: The fella’s have asked me to share with you their Britney Spears Electro monster reMix/Mash-Up, which I don’t mind doing at all ‘cos it’s a corker!
Britney Spears Vs. ModernEyes – M.E. Againt The CIRCUS (ModernEyes reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)
Franki Chan over at Iheartcomix has just posted these new tracks from The Glamour and they are a couple of party Disco tracks with some serious buzzsaw synths going on and almost a Garage beat on the second track.
♫ The Glamour – Loveburn (zShare) (MediaFire)
♫ The Glamour – Rubbin’ & Bumpin’ (zShare) (MediaFire)
The Glamour have parted company with their label and are currently shopping for a new home.
New York’s amazing synthesizer noiseniks Shy Child have delivered up this reMix of their friends, Demander, for your listening pleasure.
♫ Demander – Books (Shy Child reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)
I really believe Shy Child are pretty unique in their approach to electronic music. Raw and punky but oh-so poppy too. Plus, they are fantastic live!
If you’ve not been exposed to Shy Child yet, here are two of the best off their last album:
♫ Shy Child – Drop The Phone (zShare) (MediaFire)
♫ Shy Child – Noise Won’t Stop (zShare) (MediaFire)
You’ll be wanting to buy some now:
Le Corps Mince De Françoise have dropped a new reMix of ‘Bitch Of The Bitches’. This time by Limping Boy.
♫ Le Corps Mince De Françoise – Bitch Of The Bitches (Limping Boy reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)
The Girls are also up for Best New Act in the Basso Music Awards in Helsinki!
Le Corps Mince De Françoise @ Beatport
Le Corps Mince De Françoise @ Juno
We’ve already posted the video for The Presets‘ next single, the wonderful ‘If I Know You’, one of the reMixes we were very exited to hear was by Italo-ElectroPopsters Heartbreak.
Well here it is!
♫ The Presets – If I Know You (Heartbreak reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)
Heartbreak seem to be consistently brilliant in everything the do and pairing The Presets with them it like ElectroPop gold!
‘If I Know You’ will be out in late march on Modular Recordings.
Grab a taste!
DMX Krew, or EDMX to his friends, has to be one of my all time favourite artists. Whether dealing in pure SynthPop, Electro (of the B-Boy variety) or Electronica (three genres very close to my heart) Ed always totally nails it!
Anyway, the Krew has a new album out soon called ‘Wave Funk’ and has produced, in his never-take-himself-seriously style, an advertising rap.
It’s really rather good!
‘Wave Funk’ will be released on Aphex Twin’s Rephlex Records.
The rest is here:
It’s a damn shame it’s February, ‘cos listening to Giantess just makes you want it to be summer!
This Massachusetts lot have a sound where filthy analogue growling jostles for place with bright lead lines and cheeky vocals all done with tongue firmly in cheek!
♫ Giantess – You Were Young (zShare) (MediaFire)
♫ Giantess – Tuff ‘N’ Stuff (zShare) (MediaFire)
They look like they are a lot of fun live too, hopefully they will make it to these shores soon.
Giantess are currently unsigned but you can give them some MySpace love, there are more tracks there.
