New Ladyhawke reMix

Ladyhawke5

Ah Pip, when are we getting some new material? Well, in the absence of a new Ladyhawke record it’s always nice when new reMixes come your way.

Here we have another reMix of ‘Back Of The Van’. This time Sydney producer Beaumont cooks up a delicious 80’s treat with some fantastic gated synths and piano bridge.

It looks like ‘Back Of The Van’ might be getting a re-release, no doubt this isn’t the last reMix we will hear.

Little Boots ‘New in Town’ video

Well, Little Boots is finally due a real life, honest, physical single, ‘New In Town’, on a major label and all the trappings that go along with it.

So here’s the video, shot in LA (as LA is where the song was written during Dead Disco’s final recording sessions).

And if that’s a little too major label and big budget for you here’s a good old Little Boots funtime cover.

‘New In Town’ is released May 25th.

More from Passion Pit

PassionPit2

More new music from Passion Pit is emerging. this is a track called ‘Little Secrets’.

With the first single from the album ‘Manners’ not even in the shops yet this gives us a taste of what the rest of the album will hold.

It’s got the air of a second single and continues Passion Pit’s unique Indie-Disco sound with some wicked soloing.

Fan Death – Goodbye Horses

Fan Death2

Fan Death have dropped some more dark quirky SynthPop by way of a cover of Q Lazarus’ ‘Goodbye Horses’, it’s actually better than the original!

Interestingly (or maybe not…), as well as having been covered also by SynthPop/EBM project Psyche, Q Lazarus (the band, not the singer) featured Mark Barrett, one-time member of London Electro-Industrial group Inertia. Well…what do you say to that fact fans?

Also, here’s the video for Fan Death’s massive ‘Veronica’s Veil’, directed by Nathan Drillot & Jesse Savath:

Fan Death are in the UK very soon, check their MySpace for details.

The week in Bangers: 26:04:09

The week in Bangers: While electronic rumors isn’t strictly an Electro-House blog, we do cover a lot of Electro-House that crosses over in to our realm. So many good club tunes and reMixes surface each week we can’t (and wouldn’t) cover them all, so this is a round up of some of the best from the week that we didn’t have time to dedicate individual posts to…

Kicking off this week’s Bangers A1 Bassline goes dubstep crazy with Little Boots’ new single and we have new tracks from Mustard Pimp and Etienne De Crécy. Das Pop get a slamming reword from Stockholm Syndrome and team Valerie give us some cool retro Electro from Le Matos. The fantastically named Joey2Tits takes on Yeah Yeah Yeahs and we wrap up with two reMixes from DJ Loveboat, of Amanda Blank and the wonderful Ladyhawke.

Joe And Will Ask?, new track

JoeAndWillAsk3

Over on their MySpace page, Joe And Will Ask? are good enough to be giving away this new track, ‘Yellowstone’.

‘Yellowstone’ is a huge analog floorkiller that carries you away with it, full of Joe And Will Ask?’s trademark bit-crushed bleeps.

New Trash Yourself stuff!

TrashYourself

Apologies for the lack of posts this week. the week was busy and it was Camden Crawl this weekend, I’ll try and make up for it today.

So let’s kick start this Sunday morning with something to really shake out the cobwebs and tell the hangover to “fuck off”.

John and Heidi of Trash Yourself sent these new tracks over in the week, shame on us for waiting until now to post them!

Just what you need to get you going, Trash Yourself are noisy, energetic and raucous. Real ‘peddle to the metal’ Electro.

Here we have two reMixes of TF’s ‘Forget It’ by La Dolce Vita & Jason Sundstrom and a reMix of ‘Come Alone’ by Glasnost. Trash Fashion’s reMix features on Glasnost’s new EP, ‘Great Divide’.

Good Morning!

Wildlife! reMix The Dø

TheDo

French/Finnish popsters The Dø are the subjects of the latest reMix from Wildlife!

The Swiss producer serves up a chaotic analog noise fest whilst keeping it bouncy and summery with wobbly bass and rapid fire snares over, what is essentially, a pretty chilled track.

♫ The Dø – On My Shoulders (Wildlife! reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)

‘On My Shoulders’ is taken from The Dø’s album ‘A Mouthful’
