Beaumont; new track

Beaumont03

A man like Beaumont has dropped his latest offering into the electronic rumors inbox, we always look forward to Andy’s tunes here.

‘Surface Mission’ is a really intricate, chilled Electro tune with some sweet bit-crunched and distorted sounds which build up to those Disco synth strings.

Give it a listen!

New PNAU reMix

PNAU

Old track, still a class tune though. PNAU’s ‘Embrace’, with Pip Brown on vocals, has been given a 2009 soup up by Swede Fredrick Carlsson.

Still just as epic, still gives you goosebumps, just with added pump!

Steed Lord; ‘Royal Ruffian’ reMix

SteedLord

Iceland’s crazy bassheads Steed Lord have dropped their own reMix of ‘Royal Ruffian’ taken from their album ‘Truth Serum’.

It’s a hell of a lot heavier than the original (now that the original was lightweight!), the lead synths and vocoders remain but the beats and bass hammer through the speakers.

College

A relativly old tune here, but one I’ve been playing all day so you’re just going to have to put up with it!

Straight outta’ the Valerie collective College reMixed by 1928.

Acid Washed

AcidWashed

Parisian mystery duo Acid Washed recently dropped their début EP ‘General Motors, Detroit, America’ and the title track is a crazy, random, acidic Disco track that is so way out there yet so brilliant at the same time. Love it when the beat kicks in!

Blackstrobe is just one of a few name contributing reMixes and they take the originals spacey arpeggio and force it to conform to their Nu-Disco banger!

The Juan MacLean Vs. Cut Copy!

TheJuanMacLean

When you get tow creative greats like DFA’s Electro main man The Juan MacLean and Aussie Indie-Electro powerhouse Cut Copy you know something special is going to result!

Cut Copy have tackled last year’s huge single ‘Happy House’ and give it a dark, brooding groove with some sweet old school piano action.

Following on from the massive ‘One In a Million’, ‘Electric Fever’ isn’t quite as poppy but it’s a Nu-Disco stormer that is guaranteed to fill floors. Two Door Cinema Club can talk!

TwoDoorCinemaClub

I Can Talk’ by Ireland’s Two Door Cinema Club was one of the highlights of Kitsuné Music’s Kitsuné Maison 8 compilation and yesterday saw the 12” release of the track.

For the Kitsuné release, reMixes are provided by French Horn Rebellion, Moulinex and these two here, by Golden Bug and Crystal Fighters.

I think Golden Bug’s is my favourite, I love the heavy analogy bass throughout and vocoded backing vocals. It’s a old school vocal Electro track guaranteed to make you move. Crystal Fighters’ mix, despite frantic percussion, is more chilled and intricate with a hint of dancefloor bass.

Dyebox reMixed by Dilemn

Dyebox

Boxon Records‘ latest signing, German duo Dyebox (last seen reMixing Zoot Woman) have recently dropped their début EP.

Titled ‘Catch The Looks’ it includes three original tunes and this reMix of the title track by lablemates  Dilemn who turn in a bass heavy banger with a Nu-Disco vibe on top of the twitchiness that really suits the vocals.

Diplo reMixes Drop The Lime for B-LIVE

DropTheLime

In retrospect, B-LIVE has sent a hell of a lot of good music our way this year. Much of that, in the latter part of the year, has been in the form of a whole heap of storming reMixes of Drop The Lime’s ‘Devil’s Eyes’

Saving the best for last, they are now unleashing this epic reMix by Major Lazer man and superstar producer Diplo. Frantic percussion underlies this summery, party, Electro banger with an exotic flavour. Rapid fire synth stabs and cut up vocals belie what is actually quite a chilled party track…it’s just a chilled party track that has the fever!

Drop The Lime – Devil’s Eyes (Diplo’s B-LIVE Mix) (zShare) (MediaFire)

And have a go on Classixx’s brilliant disco reMix for good measure too:

Drop The Lime – Devil’s Eyes (Classixx’s B-LIVE Mix) (zShare) (MediaFire)

B-LIVE’s next offering will be that Van She cover of ‘(Don’t Fear) The Reaper’, along with a reMix by Holy Ghost!!!. I may actually be salivating in anticipation!!!
