[Audio] Gorgon City’s ‘Here For You’

Gorgon-City

UK House producers extraordinaire Gorgon City have unleashed their latest slice of (presumably) chart climbing Pop/UK Deep House crossover. London based singer Laura Welsh lends her considerable vocal talent to this one. Fresh rom producing Klaxons’ current single There Is No Other Time, Gorgon City turn in an absolute stormer of their own.

Welsh’s breathy vocals are the perfect foil for Gorgon City’s sub heavy House track. The duo lay down a nice mix of euphoric synths and dark, rumbling, club bass. The perfect festival belter, you can expect to hear this one a lot over the summer. A track of two sides, one minute Welsh’s voice and hazy synths draw you into the song, the next the speaker shaking bass kicks you in the face. Just how we like it.

[Audio] King Deco’s ‘Ocean’

king-deco

Out soon is the début EP, Tigris, from new New York based artist King Deco. A nexus for Future R&B, Chillwave and avant guarde ElectroPop, King Deco is about to release an ambitious record, but one she seems to nail quite comfortably. The highlight of the Brooklyn based Jordanian’s EP is the electronic Pop dream that is Ocean. Wade in.

It’s hard to pinpoint what our favourite element of King Deco’s Ocean is. It’s a toss up between King Deco’s effortlessly beautiful voice or the ghostly electronic beats. Fittingly for a track called Ocean, the synths seem to swim around the track. There’s a very fluid feels to the swirls of rich pads and hazy melodies. A slight Industrial purcussion set injects the track with an icy edge that is tempered only by Kind Deco’s mesmerising vocals. An impressive start.

[Audio] Bright Light Bright Light’s ‘She Carves Her Desire’

Bright Light Bright Light

Out this week is the I Wish I Were Leaving single from Bright Light Bright Light. The title track sees BLx2 performing his critically acclaimed duet with Sir Elton John, but it’s also packed with a couple of B-sides, one of the being the expansive She Carves Her Desire. A mesmerizing SynthPop tune that is epic in both scope and sound. Have a listen.

She Carves Her Desire is a sprawling ElectroPop opus. Backed by shuffling mid-tempo beats, Rod’s voice rises and falls with the string’s swelling, while haunting piano and burbling synths craft out the tracks atmosphere. From Rod belting out the chorus the the piercing synth lead, this is goosebump inducing stuff.

[Audio] Paradisko’s ‘Chewing Gum’ (+ MiGHty mOUse reMix)

Paradisko

Out this week on the mighty On The Fruit Records is the début record from Turkish Duo Paradisko. Already getting a heap of support; the track, the product of the pairing of Thousand Fingers & Hemi, comes complete with a packed reMix package featuring the likes of Xinobi, Digits and Cosmic Disco master MiGHty mOUse.

This one’s all about that utterly infectious synth bass. Funky as all hell, the bassline works it’s way into your head and effects your feet. It’s as playful as it is relentlessly groovy, a head on collision of Italo and Nu-Disco, this robo-Boogie is bound to stay on repeat for a long time to come. MiGHty mOUse’s take on the tune is a slow builder, taking it;s time to layer intricate purcussion and rich pads until it reaches a point where it morphs into a UK House monster that owes as much to early 90s Bleep House as it does to today’s dancefloors. The mOUse delivers a nice mix of ominous bass and light Disco synths with dancefloor destroying precision. It;s an awesome collection of track you definitely need to be checking out.

[Audio] Satin Jackets reMix Salt Ashes’ ‘Somebody’

Salt Ashes

Up-and-coming UK singer Veiga Sanchez, A.K.A. Salt Ashes, has just released her début single, Somebody. The Brighton based Italo-Popstress new tune also comes complete with this blissful reworking from one of our favourite German outfits, Satin Jackets. Prepare for some hazy summertime sounds.

With pure carefree vibes, Satin Jackets transform the original into a nostalgic, laid back, poolside churner. Airy melodies and a breezy piano hook give the Pop side of the track an organic, fluid edge; kept in place with a water-tight Disco beat. This is definitely a nice slice of port-Dreamwave Nu-Disco, and one for lazy summer afternoons.

[Audio] Chrome Sparks’ ‘Goddess’

chrome-sparks

Out soon via Future Classic is the new EP from Brooklyn’s Chrome Sparks, Goddess. Chrome Sparks music is always an interesting proposition. Cosmic analog synthesizer goodness, much like the other Brooklyn based Chrome, washed over the title track of the release. Check it out below.

Goddess truly is a galactic SynthWave journey, stopping off at Italo, Disco and cinematic Space Synth. Beautiful, undulating synth sounds and sweeping pads glide through a star-field of  distant arpeggios and gentle drums. Like a soundtrack the tune rises and falls with it’s narrative, carrying with it a sense of drama as Goddess speeds toward it’s distorted synth crescendo. Amazing, emotional, stuff from Chrome Sparks, we can;t wait for the whole EP.
