Frankmusik premiered the video for his forthcoming new single ‘The Fear Inside’ today. It’s a grainy, black & white, affair that sees Vincent Frank heading, well, somewhere, hot chick in tow. The silhouette shots in front the giant warehouse window are well 80’s!
Still lovin’ the sounds in this track!
‘The Fear Inside’ and Frankmusik’s new album, ‘Do It In The AM’ are due for release in 2011.
Projection Mapping is an awesome looking technique where images are projected onto a the flat surface of a building to make it appear 3D stuff is happening.
This technique has been put to it’s full use in a 9 minute Tron: Legacy show on the side of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in London set to Daft Punk’s stunning soundtrack.
Give it a watch!
The performance was created using 6x18k projectors with audio from an 8k D&B sound rig.
Tron: Legacy hit cinemas 17th December, seems like so long to wait! Daft Punk’s soundtrack is released tomorrow!
Have you finished revelling in the awesomeness? Right, I’ll continue…
Hailing from Seoul, Korea, Cassette Schwarzenegger are labelmates with he hotly tipped StardonE and produce some of the smoothest DiscoPop we’ve heard in a while. Their new single, ‘Play’, is a pure party tune and accompanied by a wicked fun animated video by Studio Shelter.
Check it out:
We can present the single for you right here, along with a reMix be StardonE that really deserves your attention!
Did you think we’d leave you without anything festive today after the deluge of X-mas tunes over the last two days?
Well, after dropping HURTS X-mas single on you two days ago we can now premiere the particularly X-massy video for it.
Just as the song is reminiscant of the ‘proper’ X-mas singles of the 80’s, the video, too, is quite an 80’s X-mas video.
So, as the chick from ‘Stay’, the crazy dancing lady, the mourners and the ballet dancer & her androgynous admirer say farewell to 2010 we have to wonder what characters HURTS have in store for us in 2011.
Look! The guys are even wearing red! Must be a special occasion.
The single is available as a free download from 14th December.
We missed out on posting this a few days ago, dunno’ why, just one of those things.
Anyway, this is the new, fascinating, video from ElectroPop artist Mr. Fogg. It’s amazingly well co-ordinated and all shot in one take.
Apparently, Mr. Fogg, took the idea to the label and various video producers who all said it would cost a shit-load, so he thought ‘fuck it’ and did it himself on next to no budget (and no camera tricks or cuts!). Seriously, that amount of organizing in Trafalgar Square would have been a nightmare!
Despite the popular notion that ‘Your Woman’ is White Town’s one and only song, the solo project of Jyoti Mishra has been steadily releasing music since 1990. Most recently via our friends at Ninthwave.
After some time off, though, he’s back with a new track that is a cute (if a little dark), Indie tinged, ElectroPop jam that sees Jyoti sounding somewhat Marc Almond. Soft Cell for the 21st century?
Take a look at the video.
The track is a precursor to a whole album of new material that’s in the pipeline.
Here was have the latest offering from one of the UK’s most criminally underrated acts.
The Manchester/London ElectroPop duo of Futurecop! are currently gearing up for the release of their début long player (which those lucky Japanese can already get their hands on!) ‘It’s Forever, Kids’. The album is said to contain more ‘proper’ Pop songs, featuring guest vocalists, alongside their retro inspired Nu-Disco sound. Songs like ‘Venice Beach’ (co-produced by Worship), featuring Ricco Vitalio on vocals. Check the video for some California style ElectroPop goodness!
The track is an easy reminder of why Futurecop! are one of the UK’s top synth outfits and can effortlessly stand toe-to-toe with the very beat Dreamwave from France or LA. I just wish they’d release more!
There’s a couple of reMixes too, from two producers we’ve hyped up here at electronic rumors before. The one and only Frankie Barretso drops his track straight on the dancefloor with a massive Disco mix while France’s 4TrakZ more Electro take on the track still keeps it funky with a killer bassline.
Right, I have been debating whether to post about this or not.
Mysterious email in the electronic rumors inbox? Anonymous videos of abstract shots of landscapes set to interesting snippets of electronic music? Zero information given?
I kinda’ think this approach to viral marketing is pretty done now, it’ll be hard to pull it off without looking unoriginal. But the music itself does sound good, very good in fact and I’ll be interested to see what springs from this musically. So, check out IVIX MMXI and get your theories flowing!
That’s it, no more info. Is this fun and intriguing or boring and irritating?
