Right, so we told you about Erasure new version of ‘A Little Respect’ earlier this week, but the streaming track was a no go and I didn’t even want to ask for permission to offer the track as a download ‘cos, y’know, its a charity record. A song and a cause that deserve some of your hard earned.
Anyway, you can listen to it now, and, indeed, watch it courtesy of the just released promo clip.
Interestingly, this new ‘HMI Redux’ was mixed by none other than Kap10Kurt!
Belgian Electro-Rock act Goose are gearing up for the release of their long awaited second album, ‘Synrise’, and are kicking off their return with this, the video for their forthcoming single ‘Can’t Stop Me Now.
True to their Belgian roots, the track is borderline Old School EBM with a modern Electro/ElectroPop slant and will probably find receptive ears amongst fan of The Presets. The EBM arpeggios combined with modern production and anthemic vocals make for a track that’s sure to storm the clubs.
The video was directed by Megaforce.
‘Synrise’ (already available in Belgium) is out in 2011 on Studio !K7.
What’s all this then? Mercedes isn’t the sort of think you’d normally expect to find on electronic rumors (although we have expressed our love of old school Hip Hop many times int he past) but I’m just really digging this track.
I wasn’t so taken with her previous offering ‘Shock Absorber’ but this tune is so unashamedly old school you can help but get into it.
Here’s the video, directed by Mark Stonfire & Mercedes
As you are probably aware, Depeche Mode have just released their long awaited ‘Tour Of The Universe’ DVD sets.
Filmed at two sold out nights in Barcelona during their 2009 ‘Tour Of The Universe’ the DVD features 21 songs spanning the Mode’s 30 year career. Anyone who’s seen DM live know how flawless and exiting their live spectacle is and the DVD captures the experience perfectly.
Check out the trailer:
The DVD comes in three flavours, Super, Deluxe and Blu-Ray and we have, for one luck winner, not only a copy of the Deluxe edition, which includes the DVD and a double CD set of the concerts, but also a limited edition, numbered lithograph featuring the cover artwork.
To grab yourself a chance of winning what is an amazing show in an amazing DVD set, just answer the following question:
Ex-Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder recently reunited with the band onstage, what song did he perform with Martin Gore?
Email your answer to electronicrumors@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Depeche Mode Competition’ before 23rd December. I’ll put the correct answers in my pork pie hat, pick a winner at random, and announce the results on X-mas eve!
Due to it being a DVD and stuff, this competition is only open to residents of the US.
So, this is the official music video for Daft Punk’s ‘Derezzed’ from their Tron: Legacy soundtrack.
And I love it, it’s quite a nice little prequel to the movie, the style and graphics being part original Tron and part Tron: Legacy, It’s obviously set inbetween movies. The plot seems to feature Olivia Wilde’s character, Quorra, while she was still a player on the game grid.
If you’re going to make a movie tie-in video having both a nice little tie in plot and loads of homagé to the original Tron is a good way to go.
Tron: Legacy hit cinemas 17th December, not long now! Who gonna’ be there opening day?
I’m absolutely loving Nero’s latest Dubstep offering ‘Me And You’!
The track, championed by Annie Mac, is like an 80’s action movie theme, Dubstep style! With extra helpings of video game goodness, the video is perfectly fitting too.
Here is the new video from T.E.E.D., also known as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. It’s the title track from his ‘Household Goods’ EP.
The introverted, bleepy ElectroPop track with the chorus that is killing the Radio right now get a slick video with loads of early 90’s design elements and, er, silver foil hats. It’s a really cool song though that totally grows on you.
