Parralox’s ‘I Sing The Body Electric’ video

Here we have the brand new video for Australian SynthPop torch bearers Parralox’s current single ‘I sing The Body Electric’.

There more than a couple of suggestions of Depeche Mode’s ‘Enjoy The Silence’ in the track and the video is similarly cloaked royalty and landscape based. However, Parralox blanket their influences with their own mark making both the track and video their own.

In fact, the way they have taken queues from ‘Enjoy The Silence’ and make it contemporary and distinctively Parralox sounding is actually a lot more impressive than the Myriad Depeche Mode sound-alikes that have dominated the Modern SynthPop scene for the last three decades.

‘I Sing The Body Electric’ is out now.

Uncle TNUC works his magic on The Outrunners

No idea why I didn’t get around to posting this earlier. Here we have Uncle TNUC’s awesome diamond themed video for Valerie members The Outrunners’ ‘Diamonds’. As usual TNUC takes everything we love about the 80’s and distils it into six minutes of pure, uncut, awesome.

And that ending had to be done really!

‘Diamonds’ is taken from The Outrunners’ 2010 EP ‘Running For Love And Money’

Ladytron’s Ace Of Hz video

It’s been around a while now, but ElectroPop overlords Ladytron’s ‘Ace Of Hz’ has finally got itself a video.

Taken from the quartet’s forthcoming ‘The Best Of 00-10’ album, which compiles most of Ladytron’s classic tunes, ‘Ace Of Hz’ is the single new recording on the release. If it’s any indication of how Ladytron’s next proper album will sound then you can count me in!

The ‘Ace Of Hz’ single is out now in the US and 14th March elsewhere else, ‘The Best 00-10’ is released 28th March.

The new Katy B video; ‘Broken Record’

Katy B is REALLY growing on me! I’ve said before I have a big soft spot for female vocals with a bit of a uniqueness, a quirkiness to them and Katy totally fits the bill. There’s some awesome tunes there too. Her new single ‘Broken Record’ has been on repeat here most of the morning and luckily enough the video has just been premiered.

So have a gander:

Broken Record” drops on 27th March with remixes from Zinc, DJ Fresh, Jacques Greene and Todd Edwards.

Yelle’s new double video

Madcap French ElectroPop trio Yelle (‘cos they are a trio really!) have released two music videos in one. ‘Safari Disco Club’ and ‘Que Veux-Tu’ share the eight minute clip, which is really two videos with a little joining montage.

Stall, makes us exited for the release of the new Yelle album!

The video was directed by Jérémie Saindon.

The ‘Safari Disco Club’ album is released 14th March.

Gypsy And The Cat’s ‘Jona Vark’ Video

Gypsy And The Cat’s ‘Jona Vark’  finally gets a video clip!

I looks like they are really pushing this re-release of the single, which is a good thing, it really didn’t get the attention it deserved last summer. Directed by Jemma-Lee the clip the is pretty much a visual representation of what I’d expect the Melbourne duo’s world to be like! Weird, huh?

‘Jona Vark’ single is taken from  Gypsy And The Cat’s album ‘Gilgamesh’, out now.

PNAU’s video for ‘The Truth’

Here’s the video for PNAU’s new single ‘Truth’. It’s a suitably nuts, and pretty dark, clip which kinda’ highlights the mood of the tracks, despite sounding pretty uplifting.

The video was directed by LA producers Skinny.

PNAU’s new album isn’t due ‘til September, ages away!

Kap10Kurt’s new video and Justin Faust reMix

Kap10Kurt has just dropped his new single ‘Speed Demon’ on Work It Baby. It’s a full on soaring, retro synth, Nu-Disco/Electro powerhouse with a massive Pop chorus.

Oh, and a genius video too!

In the single you’ll also find this epic reMix by the man Justin Faust, with this huge 80’s riff you can#t help but fall in love with!

The Sound Of Arrows’ new video

The Sound Of Arrows made this video, for their forthcoming single ‘Nova’, themselves, which just goes to show they’ve got as good an eye for visuals as they do an ear for a catchy ElectroPop tune.

Anthemic, and surprisingly late 90’s sounding, ‘Nova’ works seamlessly with the cosmic imagery of the clip.

‘Nova’ is out 25th April on Geffen, The Sound Of Arrows have just finished recording their début album.
