Darren Hayes reMixed by Fred Falke & Penguin Prison
Darren Hayes, luminary of electronic Pop music, has roped in some awesome talent to reMix his latest single ‘Talk Talk Talk’.
French Touch legend Fred Falke is up first and turns in a fantastic mix. Quite subdued but Falke has caught the mood of the song perfectly. Not going overboard this reMix is a subtle form of French Touch. Never in your face, more walking beside you, Falke’s reMix blends ElectroPop and Nu-Disco so smoothly you’ll feel like you’ve known the song forever. Penguin Prision get’s his more Indie-Disco styled hands on the track and brings his post-BedroomPop groove to the tune, giving it a live and stripped down synth feel and keeping it bouncy.

Oh My! have steadily releasing reMixes of their new single ‘Kicking And Screaming’ almost daily this month to promote the single release and here Ronika treats us to massive slab of her 80’s Pop/New York Disco clash. The girl defiantly knows her way around a synth and isn’t afraid of either Funk or Pop. Ronika’s new single
Hopefully avoiding any disturbances in Nottingham this week, the UK’s most fun and funky DiscoPop chanteuse Ronika has announced her next single, coming in September.
It’ll be some double A-side goodness featuring the tracks ‘Only Only’ and ‘In The City’. You can listen to ‘In The City’ right here. It’s all call to arms, or at least a call to dance, for those of us coping with baking summer days in the urban jungle. Ronika’s slick post-Disco 80’s beats and basslines have never been showed off so perfectly as they are here, add to that a cool Disco lick & an early 90’s House undercurrent and you have a combination that, when Ronika commands you to dance, is unavoidably intoxicating. There’s an excitement to ‘In The City’, a celebration starting anthem that leaves you feeling that the party is about to blow up.
