Druma Kina

Druma Kina is the musical alter-ego of producer Simonski, from São Paulo, Brazil, who has just teamed up with new label Teenage Gang Records to drop his latest EP.

The sample heavy Disco found of the EP is complimented by an amazing collection of reMixers. The lead track on the EP ‘Walking Away’ is a funky, cut-up Nu-Disco jam with layer upon layer of Disco samples and some sweet, soulful, vocals supplied by Shell Heaven Lee. The awesome Cosmonaut Grechko take it to the next level with a Dreamwave reMix that blends seamlessly with the original track and will leave you wanting more. Cavaliers Of Fun drop their brand of quirky DiscoPop with their take on the song which evolves into an epic call and response Electro tune with added vocals and Sci-Fi solos.

Cavaliers Of Fun reMix AXXE

Wow! Here’s two bands we’ve been pretty vocal about digging, and it’s just awesome it when two artists we love come together!

It was a couple of months ago we raved about Montreal Electro-sleazesters AXXE, we really dug their take on low down dirty ElectroPop, without going into comedy, faux sleaze, ElectroClash embarrassing territory and Cavaliers Of Fun have dropped some of our favourite tracks of recent months. His work on AXXE’s ‘S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Night’ is not exception, keeping the powerful vocal structure and dropping it over his particular brand of ElectroPop/Space-Disco.

¡borracho!; new EP

Canadian Electro-House producers ¡borracho! is about to drop their début EP, ‘Anything To Declare…?’ on new digital label Rural Route Records Inc. Consisting mostly of some of the stellar reMixes they’ve given us in the last few months, the EP also includes an original track titled ‘Soviet Holiday’. Amongst the reMixes included on the EP is the brilliant Cavaliers Of Fun reMix, we’ve previously featured, for ‘Secret Galaxies’ and their take on Lady Gaga’s ‘Love Games’. Both reMixes throw the tracks straight on the dancefloor and rock out with soaring lead lines and hard distorted synths.

Cavaliers Of Fun reMix

We posted about Cavaliers Of Fun a while back, including the track ‘Secret Galaxies’. We were pretty impressed with the mashing up of Space-Synth, Dreamwave and Chiptune and some good solid songs.

‘Secret Galaxies’ has been given a banging work over by Canada’s ¡borracho! which kinda’ holds on to the ElectroPop feel but introduces some hardcore dancefloor elements.

Cavaliers Of Fun

UK based Ricco Vitali A.K.A. Cavaliers Of Fun has been getting quite a bit of hype on the more discerning blogs this week, and well deserved too as he takes on Dreamwave from a slightly left-field position.

Mixing up elements of Dreamwave, Space-Synth and Chiptune, ‘Midnight Resistance’ is a kinda’ ‘what if’ Jean-Michel Jarre was a C64 obsessive who started hanging out with College and the Valerie crew. Are you comfortable with that? Well you won’t be expecting ‘Secret Galaxies’ then, which suddenly swings Cavaliers Of Fun over to the Van She side of Indie-Electro.

Varied, crazy cool, and…well…fun!
