Surrender! reMixed by Blende

surrender

It’s a meeting of La Bombe heavyweights! While your waiting for Turkish producer Surrender!’s self-titled début album (and you probably are after reading out interview with the man here) keep the faith with this reMix from London’s noisiest funkster Blende. You just know this is going to be in -your-face Disco.

And true to form Blende taken on the French at their own game. His reMix of S*M*A*S*H rides high on the combination of digital slap bass, piercing synths and acerbic production. The result is kind of like running Les Rythmes Digitales through a distortion pedal with a touch of Justice (when Justice are being funky, not wanky). It’s a track that would easily be at home of Ed Banger, but La Bombe is probably a much finer place for it to reside. Inducing just as much of a stom as it does a boogie, Blende’s reMix is ripe for peak time dropping, just watch the floor explode!

Anniversary compilation from La Bombe

la bombe

Awww, isn’t it sweet. London’s La Bombe Recordings is turning the ripe old age of two. But rather than crying a lot and soiling themselves like most respectable two year olds, La Bombe is going to be releasing a compilation album to proudly show off what they’ve achieved since their inception and to give you a glimpse into the future.

The ten track record will feature five classics from the La Bombe back catalogue and five brand new tunes. We’ve feature quite a lot of La Bombe output in the past twenty four months here on electronic rumors, mostly from the funkier or more eclectic end of their roster, such as Blende and Douze who always give us something powerful and groovy. But when you want a flat out Electro banger La Bombe is definitely the place to go. Check out some of what to expect from this collection, including ‘Girls’ the new killer from Les Tronchiennes,  pleasingly titled ‘A Fistful of Boom’.

Douze reMixes Blende

Released later this month is the now one from Stockholm duo Blende on La Bombe.

The ‘Words’ single features, amongst others, this reMix from the French king of the groove Douze. Strap yourself in for some serious Cosmic boogie here. This is a euphoric sweeping synth epic that will move your feet and expand your mind. Or something.

Blende’s ‘One Sided’

Stockholm based duo Blende are dropping a new double A-Side single this week on La Bombe Records.

‘One Sided’ is a track that straddles the thin line between modern ElectroPop and Nu-Disco. It’s an arpeggio driven dancefloor tune with hints of Moroder and a surprisingly laidback groove for such an upbeat song. Top that with some silky smooth Vocoded vocals and you have a jam that sounds as fresh as it does retro. It’s double A-side ‘Egypto’ is a rad old-school Electro workout that bridges the gap between B-Boys and the Disco!

♫ Blende – One Sided

The  track ‘One Sided’ get versioned by the awesome Louis La Roche, who brings his slick Electro-Disco style to the tune and gives it added dancefloor appeal. It’s French Touch feel seamlessly incorporates itself into the vocoder work.

The Amplifetes

TheAmplifetes

The Amplifetes are a four piece from Sweden comprised of songwriters and producers who have worked with the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Peter Bjorn & John, Kelis and Madonna but only started jamming together in the past year.

Their sound seems to change from track to track but it’s generally got a raw garage Electro-Rock vibe. ‘It’s My Life’ is an full on Electro tune with quirky, ElectroPunky, overtones and would completely rock any Indie-Electro dancefloor. ‘Whizz Kid’ in comparison is more D.I.Y. Glam Electro-Rock with an absolutely killer reMix by Blende, who turns in a huge, retro synth laden, Nu-Disco epic.
