Holy Ghost!’s ‘Hold My Breath’ video

Another interesting video from Holy Ghost!.

This new one is for their forthcoming single ‘Hold My Breath’ and like the dad featuring ‘Wait & See’ is very based around how close these guys are as friends.

The Opiates’ new video

Here’s the video for Billie Ray Martin and Robert Solheim’s The Opiates project’s track ‘Anatomy Of A Plastic Girl’.

The video, directed by Jörn Hartmann is as evocative as the track’s subject matter, a dark tale of beauty gone wrong.

‘Anatomy Of A Plastic Girl’ is taken from The Opiates début album ‘Hollywood Under The Knife’ due out on Disco Activisto Records, 21st October.

Going Old School: Humanoid – Stakker Humanoid

In 1988 Humanoid was well ahead of his time with ‘Stakker Humanoid’, but the again, he was in Future Sound Of London, so that kinda’ makes sense.

Ronika: *that* Fear Of Tigers reMix

Here’s the video for Ronika ‘s forthcoming new single ‘Only Only’.

Ron’s looking fly doing her early ‘80’s video thing, which she now has down to a fine art. Love the track, love the video, totally awesome, I wish I could talk about it more, but there’s something I need to chat about that’s been on my mind for a while now. See you after the vid:

OK, so anyone who follows us on Twitter (@electronicrumor) will know I’ve been gagging to play you this track for weeks now. It’s Fear Of Tigers’ reMix of ‘Only Only’, and it’s one of the best reMixes I’ve heard all year.

We love Ronika and we love Fear Of Tigers, so we were pretty destined to like this track, but I was blown away on my first listen and have been rockin’ it ever since, and I’ll tell you why. It reminds me of ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ by Bomb The Bass, a track I have loved for over two decades, with extra helpings of B-Boy Electro. Fear Of Tigers have captured the mood of the song perfectly bringing in an ‘80’s Electro feel that is absolutely in line with what Ronika is doing. With old School beats, stabs, Simmons tom rolls and a bassline that would kill both on a Lino down the Underpass or in the Top Of The Pops studio, Ronika and Fear Of Tigers have brought together my two biggest, and longest standing, musical loves, Electro (of the breakin’ variety) and ElectroPop, with a hint of my Disco mistress, in a completely modern production that hasn’t left my MP3 player for over a month now, and for that I will love them both forever.

Apologies for gushing, but I REALLY FUCKING LIKE THIS TRACK!

Com Truise’s ‘Brokendate’ video

There’s practically nothing about Com Truise’s ‘Brokendate’ video that isn’t awesome.

Directed by Will Joines this ‘80’s Sci-Fi noir is stop-on and goes hand-in-hand with Mr. Truise’s retro future Disco beats.

Com Truise’s album ‘Galactic Melt’ comes highly recommended.
