Tycho’s single of last month ‘Hours’, has been given a dreamlike working over by Teen Daze.
Turning the track into an audio haze of intertwining synths and distant melodies, Teen Daze goes one step beyond Chillwave and layers the fantasy synths thick. Their reMix, though, is kept in line with a solid beat that give the track a nice early 90’s feel. Like a Chillwave Orbital.

There’s a new video for Washed Out’s ‘Amor Fati’.
Yoonha Park directs this is reasonably standard Chillwave stuff, soft focus, introspective, quaint and a bit dreamlike. It’s all good though and works really well with the track.

Crystal Fighters new single ‘Champion Sound’ come complete with a whole host of top reMixes.
Out next month on Different the highlights of the reMix package come from Mustang and Clubfeet. Both artists take the left-field ElectroPop of the Fighters and make it their own. Mustang give us something a little different from their norm with a big deep, pretty dark, analog groove fest that pulsates through your brain. May68 have just announced their new single, ‘White Lies’.
Part retro SynthPop, part Tropical, ‘White Lies’ is a strangely schizophrenic beast. The jangly IndiePop of many of their former Kitsuné label mates sits alongside bouncy analog synth bass and occasionally the track feels like it looses focus. This doesn’t stop it, however, from being a totally catchy tune that is sure to fire up Indie-Dance discos across the UK.

‘Everybody Get Close’ is the new tune from DFA jack-of-all-trades The Juan MacLean.
It’s the title track from his forthcoming new record, due out November 6th, which collects various bits and pieces from the last few years of his career. ‘Everybody Get Close’ is an analog Disco workout, all vocoders and sweeping synths. With one foot heavily in Moog Funk this track feels like old school The Juan MacLean and that raw New York Disco DFA sound.
