‘Do It In The AM’ isn’t Frankmusik’s best song ever, but it is a cool summery Pop tune that could be his real breakthrough track, and the video show how Vince is living it up LA style these days.
So, over the past few weeks ElectroPop sensation Frankmusik has been giving away free tunes via freefrankmusik.com, including his tribute to Daft Punk.
Now he’s compiled all four free tunes into an Ep you can download gratis here. Titled ‘Long Live Frankmusik’, the EP serves as a great build up to the man’s forthcoming album. Check out ‘Hurt You Again’, more traditional Frankmusik than recent tracks we’ve heard, it’s a powerful string-led lament.
Frankmusik has been giving away songs these past couple of weeks, over at freefrankmusic.com and his latest offering is an epic, namedropping, tribute to Daft Punk.
‘Our Discovery’ is a mash up of Daft Punk song titles and Riffs into one awesome DiscoPop tune that revels in the pure joy of being a Daft Punk fan and perfectly captures the excitement of the turn of the century. All this is wrapped up into a soulful ElectroPop song that is built (by robots?) to get you dancing.
Frankmusik premiered the video for his forthcoming new single ‘The Fear Inside’ today. It’s a grainy, black & white, affair that sees Vincent Frank heading, well, somewhere, hot chick in tow. The silhouette shots in front the giant warehouse window are well 80’s!
Still lovin’ the sounds in this track!
‘The Fear Inside’ and Frankmusik’s new album, ‘Do It In The AM’ are due for release in 2011.
OK, hands up, who was a little nervous about Frankmusik’s new material.
Yeah…me too.
This could have so easily been a generic rehash of one of his previous songs, a sloppy sticking to a style that has since been copied numerous times. But have no fear, ‘The Fear Inside, as débuted last night on Cherrytree Radio sounds a fresh as anything you will hear this year. Taking his trademark sound, Vincent Frank seems to have beefed things up a little. Co-written by Cherrytree’s Martin Kierszenbaum, the track has got a big old school Electro vibe going on under the Pop track that lends a kinda’ hardness to the ElectroPop.
In the wake of Friday’s tragedy, the news that Charlie Haddon lead singer of Oú Est Le Swimming Pool, one of the UK’s most promising SynthPop acts, had taken his own life after the bands show at Belgium’s Pukkelpop festival, Vincent Frank A.K.A. Frankmusik has recorded a soulful piano tribute in the form of a cover of Oú Est Le Swimming Pool’s biggest hit ‘Dance The Way I Feel’.
Heavy, dirty Electro with UK ElectroPop genius Frankmusik’s vocals? That’s what you get with this collaboration between Vincent and LA’s Computer Club.
Walking the line between ElectroPop and noisy Electro-House, ‘Loosing Streak’ is taken from the forthcoming ‘Nerd Secrets’ 9-track EP.
Computer Club has also dropped this reMix of SynthPop classic ‘Don’t You Want Me’ by The Human League (who we are eagerly awaiting news of their Wall Of Sound release from) that brings that unmistakable riff to the dancefloor by beefing up the drums and bass.
Don Diablo is a reMix machine! The man must work 24 hours a day, he churns out quality reMix after quality reMix. His newest subject is Frankmusik, with a reMix of his forthcoming single ‘Confusion Girl’
A departure from Don’s usual bangers this reMix is a groovin’ epic that will have your head nodding and toes tapping with some interesting use of guitars on top of the synth work as Mr. Diablo plays fast and loose with Vincent’s vocals.
