Mustang & Clubfeet reMix Crystal Fighters

Crystal Fighters new single ‘Champion Sound’ come complete with a whole host of top reMixes.

Out next month on Different the highlights of the reMix package come from Mustang and Clubfeet. Both artists take the left-field ElectroPop of the Fighters and make it their own. Mustang give us something a little different from their norm with a big deep, pretty dark, analog groove fest that pulsates through your brain. Clubfeet provide the popiest of the reMixes with a summery Indie-Electro feel build upon layers of smooth synths and turns the vocal track into a lazy poolside sing-a-long.

Crystal Fighters reMix Get People

Here’s Crystal Fighters chipper reMix of Get People’s ‘Rain Tears’.

Like a meeting of two quirky, eclectic, ElectroPop outfits this reMix, taken from Get People’s forthcoming EP of the same name, has a style all of it’s own. With a touch of Balearic beach vibes, a sprinkling of Spanish guitar and a bouncy rhythm there is nothing but summer fun in this tune.

Crystal Fighters’ ‘Follow’ video

More stop-motion insanity from Crystal Fighters in the form of their new video, for ‘Follow’, directed this time by Ian Pons Jewell.

Slightly less nightmarish than their last video, for ‘In The Summer’ but I still would’nt try to explain it to anyone.

Two Door Cinema Club can talk!

I Can Talk’ by Ireland’s Two Door Cinema Club was one of the highlights of Kitsuné Music’s Kitsuné Maison 8 compilation and yesterday saw the 12” release of the track.

For the Kitsuné release, reMixes are provided by French Horn Rebellion, Moulinex and these two here, by Golden Bug and Crystal Fighters.

I think Golden Bug’s is my favourite, I love the heavy analogy bass throughout and vocoded backing vocals. It’s a old school vocal Electro track guaranteed to make you move. Crystal Fighters’ mix, despite frantic percussion, is more chilled and intricate with a hint of dancefloor bass.
