Monsieur Adi reMixes Madonna’s ‘Frozen’

Here it is, ‘Frozen’ is the final part of Monsieur Adi’s trilogy of Madonna  reMixes, and he’s going out with a bang!

Seriously, this tune is just majestic. ‘Frozen’ is a track that’s very close to Adi, he writes “The final remix of this trilogy is one of Frozen. It is such an iconic song of Madonna that really first made me notice Madonna. The delicacy, fragility, and darkness of the song matched with the video really left a mark on me. Just last year I have lost my mother which was the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life ; I don’t believe anything else could hurt me as much as that. After it, I suppose I became a little “Frozen” creatively and emotionally, but recently I’ve just started to release and return to my old self. I wanted to keep with the spiritual aspect of the song and not do too much. The remix builds in and on itself with a tribal beat, French horns, a cathedral organ, synths, and a choir to back Madonna. It’s been fantastic working with her voice ! Here is the product !”, and it shows. The care and attention put into doing the song justice is awe inspiring. From the deep groove to the powerful orchestration Adi has uplifted and reinvigorated, what is, a thirteen year old track with such love that you can’t help but be astonished and completely absorbed by it.

Bright Light Bright Light’s ‘Disco Moment’ video

Bright Light Bright Light’s long (really, quite long) awaited new single ‘Disco Moment’ looks like it’s finally here with the premiere of the video.

It’s a really good choice for a single, upbeat ElectroPop with a hint of melancholy and the Jody Wilson directed video serves as a really good introduction to Rod Thomas for the masses who missed out on ‘Love Part II’.

‘Disco Moment’ is released 19th September.

LIGHTS on this week’s Epic Meal Time

If you like bacon, and let’s face it who doesn’t?, you’re probably already watching Epic Meal Time. This week’s show combines two of my favourite things. Hot girls who make ElectroPop and meat as the crew are joined by Canada’s queen of SynthPop LIGHTS.

Princeton; :kinema: on the reMix

Our favourite Brigton smooth DiscoPop dudes :kinema: are back with a brand new reMix of LA Indie band Princeton’s ‘To The Alps’.

No having heard the original I can’t compare it but I do know that :kinema:’s soulful electronic Pop sends this track into smooth heaven. With some interesting instrumentation :kinema:’s commented that the track is “Partly an attempt to make a kind of twee-indie-disco version of Coma Cat by Tensnake (in a good, referential and respectful way, rather than in a bad, copying and stealing way :P)”.

Princeton – To The Alps (:kinema: reMix)

It’s always fantastic to hear new music from :kinema: so we’re doubly in luck this week as Drop Out Orchestra have just released their new single, ‘All We Need Is Time’ on the awesome Mullet Records and the track features :kinema: big time, listen to it here.

M.A.G.I.C. video from The Sound Of Arrows

The Sound Of Arrows just premiered video for their forthcoming ‘M.A.G.I.C.’ single is truly magical.

You wouldn’t necessarily think a post late-70’s-anime-inspired-monster-apocalypse clip would be so heart-warming, but it is. And pretty deep too.

Check out one of the classiest videos of the year.
