Is there time for just one more reMix of ‘In For The Kill’ before La Roux’s next single, ‘Bulletproof’ is released?
Of course there is!
Saving the best ‘til last comes Lifelike. His really 80’s SynthPop, with a dance beat, take on the track has it vying against Heartbreak’s reMix for the position of my favourite version.
There are a few reMixes of La Roux’s forthcoming second single ‘In For The Kill’ knocking around, and there will be more to come I bet, but this one has to be my favourite so far.
No surprise it comes courtesy of Heartbreak, who bring a real, retro, Italo, feel to the table. This really wouldn’t be out of place on a mid-late 80’s dancefloor!
I picked this up over at Nerdy-Frames. It’s a reMix of La Roux’s ‘In For The Kill’ by Australian Dan Aux and, blimey, it’s good!
There’s something really heartfelt about this reMix, it seems to be a perfect compliment to Ely’s vocals. It’s all about the wobbly bass and sweet pads.
A long weekend partying in Bristol coupled with the worst snowstorm to hit London in a gazillion years mean I really can’t be bothered to post much today, sorry folks. I have some good shit I wanna’ blog this week, just not today.
In the meantime you can clock this video for La Roux‘s new single ‘In For The Kill’. This track took me a little longer to get into than ‘Quicksand’ but I love the chorus now.
Those cheeky chappies at Universal have disabled embedding on the video for some reason so you’ll have to go to the inconvenience of visiting a whole-nother site to view it.
Ideally I’d be wanting to write about new music and stuff, but there’s also so much from the last six months or so that I want to share. I have no idea where to begin.
This morning my tickets to see La Roux (supporting Lily Allen) in Shepherd’s Bush showed up, so I guess that is a good enough place to start…
London’s La Roux, the latest signing to the mighty Kitsuné Music, is an odd beast. I think it would be fair to say La Roux is a bit like Marmite, you’ll either love it or hate it. I wasn’t so sure when I first heard it but it has very much grown on me, I kinda’ have a thing for female vocalists with quirky voices though.
So grab yourself some of Elly Jackson’s unique, to say the least, voice over some addictivly funky SynthPop…
Seeing as how La Roux is going to be supporting Lily Allen I’ll throw you this unofficial reMix of her forthcoming single, which I picked up from PrettyMuchAmazing!, too:
