[Video] Lissi Dancefloor Disaster’s ‘Try’

Swedish Electro cat botherers Lissi Dancefloor Disaster are gearing up for the release of their new album, Waves. In advance of this, here’s the video for their first single of the year, Try.

If you think the song is slightly more subdued than we are used to from LDD, have not fear, the video is more of the usual cat-influenced craziness.

Lissi Dancefloor Disaster’s Try is out now.

[Video] Viceroy & Chela’s ‘Dream Of Bombay’

Here’s the official video for San Francisco funkmeister Viceroy and Dreamwave songstress Chela’s frankly amazing new single, Dream Of Bombay. This breezy slice of feel-good Dreamwave has been on repeated round these parts for a while now, and the video is so cool.

Josh Harris directs the clip, capturing the perfect nostalgic vibe, while Chela exudes effortless 80s cool.

Viceroy (Feat. Chella)’s Dream Of Bombay is out now.

[Video] Karl Bartos’ ‘Atomium’

Karftwerkian legend Karl Bartos’s first single from his new album Off The Record, is finally here. Strap yourself in for some icy snyths and robotic vocals.

The video is, possible deliberately, really early 90s EBM. All inverted colours and cheap video effects. Probably quite fitting.

Karl Bartos’ Atomium is released 1st February. Off the Record is released in March.

[Video] Goin’ Old School: Cabaret Voltaire and Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force

Goin’ Old School isn’t a trip down music memory lane, it’s a mugging in the dark alleyway of nostalgia:

Two of our favourite tracks this week, starting with the mighty Cabaret Voltaire and 1983’s Just Fascination.

And Renegades Of Funk!, also from 1983, one of Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force best.

[Video] Tesla Boy’s ‘Another Light’

Here’s a cool video that Russian Dreamwave/ElectroPop champions Tesla Boy have put together for the B-side of their recent Split single, Another Light.

It’s 80s as hell, and so shiny that it hurts to watch, like staring at the sun.

[Video] TNUC takes on Steve Moore

there’s a brand new video from Uncle TNUC! The originator of the edited up Dreamwave video is back, and this time he;s tackling Steve Moore’s beautiful Dawn Of Primordial Life.

TNUC goes with the flow on this one. Mixing up an 80s caveman (not sure of source) and some plains nature, TNUC tells a pretty compelling narrative.

[Video] Kamp!’s ‘Melt’

Polish ElectroPoppers Kamp!’s recent album, on their own Brennnessel label contained many highlights, and Melt was one of the biggest, now it’s a soon-to-be-single…with a slick video.

Directed by Tomasz Goldbaum-Wlazinski the clip gives synchronized swimming a point, and it;s beautifully shot.

Kamp!’s Melt is out soon on Discotexas with Zimmer on reMix duties.

[Video] Crystal Castles’ ‘Sad Eyes’

Here’s the fuzzy video for Crystal Castles’ next single Sad Eyes, from their recent, thirdly self-titled (or III) album.

Rob Hawkins and Marc Pannozzo direct this gritty VHS fest which features footage filmed at CC’s Berlin and Toronto live dates, and some serial killer-eqsue nonsense..

Crystal Castles’ III is out now.

[Video] Mesh’s new single

Here’s the video for the new single from Bristolian SynthPoppers Mesh. Born To Lie is the first single taken from the soon to be released new album Automation Baby.

The clip features a load of live footage set to a track which, although you can hear hints on good-old Fragile Mesh in there (especially in the chorus), continues down the bands rockier path.
