[Audio] Duke Dumont reMixes Tensnake, Nile Rodgers and Fiora’s ‘Love Sublime’

German House producer Tensnake’s Love Sublime dropped late last year. The symphonic Disco track was the first taste we had of what to expect from the mans début album, Glow, which is set for a March release. Not content with letting the track lie, some tasty reMixes are on the way, first up being this warehouse monster from one of the UK’s current darlings Duke Dumont.

The Duke keeps things purely House based with this growling rework. That bassline is just dominating; warping it’s way though the track, giving it a dark edge that contrasts nicely with the big vocals and lush piano line. Big beats, deep bass, and a relentless groove, what more do you need form a late night floorfiller? The sparking synths are just the icing on the cake. A storming reMix.

[Audio] Tensnake, Nile Rodgers and Fiora’s ‘Love Sublime’

Ahead of the forthcoming release of German House superstar Tensnake’s début album Glow, set for the first quarter of next year. It’s an album that will be boasting a host of collaborators such as Stuart Price, Jamie Lidell, Jeremy Glenn and MNEK alongside frequent vocaliser Fiora and the one and only Mr. Nile Rodgers. It’s Fiora and Rodgers who appear on the albums first single, Love Sublime. Check it out.

Love Sublime is slick as hell. On the surface it appears to be another slice of throwback Disco, but it;s a lot more complex than that. There’s hints of Italo, of 80s Pop and Soul. If anything this feels more Top Of The Pops than 70s Mirrorball. Bouncy synth basslines and multi layered vocals with a breathy delay give it a very mid-80s feel (think: Imagination) with shuffling hi-hats. It’s an excellent choice for a single, but if you can;t wait that long Tensnake has dropped another new tune, which is available as a free download, in the form of the deeper and Housier strobe light epic, No Relief.

Acclaimed German House producer Tensnake’s new  double A-side single single, See Right Though/58 BPM, featuring Fiora, has already had one video treatment, now the single’s lead track has gone all visual on our asses!

The See Right Through video is more narrative than it’s counterpart, being a proper story, rather and flashing lights.

[Audio] Tensnake’s ‘See Right Through’

This Friday just gone, Pete Tong presented the world première of the new single from German House superstar Tensnake, on his Radio 1 show. See Right Through features Fiora on vocals and delivers some prefect, summery, chilled vibes. It’s Deep House enough to get lost in and Poppy enough to chart, with a classic vibe that, spiritually if not musically, reminds us of dance music’s mid-90s heyday.

This one’s all about lazy, shuffling beats with a Garage swing and hazy synths that you can’t help but sway to. Walking a nice line between laid back and jump-up, this is a track that we’d love to encounter either in a felid with a thousand other revels or on the headphones whist whistfully staring out of the window on a long coach journey. One of the head and the feet.

Little Boots reMixed by Tensnake

Little Boots

In support of Record Store Day 2012 (which you should all get on board with BTW) out ElectroPop princess Little Boots will be dropping a new 12” ‘Every Night I Say A Prayer’ accompanied by a free download this 21st April.

‘Every Night I Say A Prayer’ was put together with Andy Butler from Hercules & Love Affair and is an eipc slice of Pop that comes complete with this reMix from Tensnake, who takes things in a deep, hypnotic, direction. If you heard Boots’ last mix you will probably recognise that synth snare and rolling bassline as Victoria snuck it into the cunningly titled ‘Into The Future’ mixtape. Tensnake’s treatment of the track is an undulating Sci-Fi soundscape, retaining Boots’ Pop but taking it on a cosmic cruise to strange new paces. There’s a clash of analog warmth and abrasive sound in there that is at once comforting and slightly unsettling, like a journey to strange places with only Victoria’s voice to guide you. I love how Little Boots stays so Pop, but take so many risks with reMixes and extras. The total (and tiny) package.

Little Boots – Every Night I Say A Prayer (Tensnake reMix)

The 12″ will also hold a reMix from Joe Smooth. Boots will be playing a special gig at Rough Trade East in London on Record Store Day, as well as a playing May 4th at XOYO with support from Ronika. Yes, we will be there.
