New tune from Mitch Murder

mitch-murder1

This brand new track from the king of SynthWave, Mitch Murder, is an almost perfect ode to Saturday mornings as a kid, getting up and sticking the cartoons on. For me that meant, on a Saturday or School Holidays, the Wide Awake Club, with TransFormers, Battle Of The Planets (G-Force), Thundercats, Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends… you get the gist.

With Saturdays Mitch has captured the mood with his usual flair. The innocence of youth, the excitement of a Saturday morning are represented by shimmering bright synths that ring out over that particular kind of stuttering FM bassline so often used in Kids TV themes. As the track progresses (into the action?) Mr. Murder gets his Trevor Jones/Vince DiCola on with some digital slap bass. After a rash of moody Sci-Fi epics, it’s awesome to hear Mitch Murder in fun mode, you can’t help but smile at this track.
