Louisa Strachan’s big, soulful, voice is back with the new single from her post- The Vanity Clause, outfit Apachelux. This one comes hot on the heels of the last single This Time and is titled Only When You’re Lonely; a heartfelt electronic Pop track with Post-Punky overtones.

Ever wonder what happened to the huge voice of Louisa Strachan from The Vanity Clause? Well wonder no further. She’ steamed up with a fellow Southend native to form Apachelux, a new excursion into the harder side of ElectroPop. With an exhaustive array of influences, these two are just starting their musical journey under this moniker and releasing their début single next month. This is This Time.
Loaded with moody tones and ominous chords, This Time sees Louisa taking up a kinda’ Bille Ray Martin place in the music landscape as her epic vocals glide over a succession of rapid fire beats and brooding synths. It’s a nice combination on unnerving music and warm vocals that makes it a particularly intoxicating tune. We’d be very interested what these guys could do with a little more dancefloor orientation, a little slicker production, as it’s a confident and highly enjoyable début that leaves us wanting to hear more
