Highly underrated Aussie Nu-Disco producer Beaumont has teamed up with Ill Collins, who has an awesome name to indulge in some bit-crushed madness.
An EP is forthcoming, but this tune ‘Drane’ is a little extra gift that won’t be appearing on it. If it’s an indicator of how the EP will sound then we are in for a pretty gritty, thumping, treat. Beaumont has always had a soft spot for 8-bit sounds in his music but here he really lets himself go crazy. ‘Drane’ is a mid-tempo grinder that manages to bring a little Cosmic Disco feel to the Lo-Fi doom.

As a side note I know absolutely nothing about who Ill Collins is, but maybe it should be noted though that his SoundCloud profile pic comes from Beaumont’s MySpace album, Beaumont’s 8-bit alter-ego perhaps? Maybe not, maybe he is some Mexican SID freak? Just sayin’…
