SaiR reMixes Cavaliers Of Fun

cavaliers-of-fun1

Our favourite Portuguese producer SaiR has taken on the lead track from Cavaliers Of Fun recent ‘Sharing Space Secrets’ EP, ‘Passengers’, for his latest mix.

Keeping it smooth with a night time vibe, SaiR works Ricco’s vocals into a laid back slice of synthesizer Funk featuring the very best in head nodding basslines and quirky little lead riffs.  Ruben from SaiR certainly knows how to twist a synth line to his funky will and makes the track so slick and chilled that you can just let is wash over you like a wave of groove.

Chad Valley reMixed by Foals

chad valley

Chad Valley is throwing a couple of parties in London before the end of the year with his Blessing Force colleagues, expect Chillwave, Wonky Pop, eclectic Indie-Electro and a bunch of people not caring much what people think of them. Details here.

As a warm up to the shows, check out this reMix of Chad Valley’s ‘Fast Challenges’, from his ‘Equatorial Ultravox’ EP, by Foals’ Edwin Congreave. Keeping some of the Chillwave vibe Congreave twists the reverb heavy sounds into some kind of weird Experimental Deep House monster

Show Your Shoe reMixes Christa Vi

Christa Vi

Mr. Nico Müller is back in the place! Show Your Shoe has been a little quite of late but it looks like he’s been keeping himself busy (not least with a secret project for us, but I’m not going to tell you what that is right now! Hahaha) as this reMix for Christa Vi proves.

More and more ,Show Your Shoe is becoming the benchmark for Funky hooks and beach party percussion and this reMix shows off Nico’s mastery of those elements amazingly. Coupled with that is a big of a late ‘80’s UK electronic Soul/Pop groove that makes Christa, a London based Singer/Songwriter sound like the prefect ‘80’s Pop diva. If I was a Nu-Disco producer out there, the Show Your Shoe would be the act to beat.

Moscow Youth Cult’s ‘Iris’ EP

Moscow Youth Cult

We’ve been following Nottingham based raw ElectroPop outfit Moscow Youth Cult for a while now and their new EP ‘Iris’ gives as a tantalising view of what to expect from their début album.

The title track (first seen accompanying it’s video) is a strange, but beautiful, head-on collision between gritty Indie-Pop and chainsaw Minimal Synth, with a dancefloor beat. As catchy as it is abrasive this is garage ElectroPop at it’s finest. The rest of the EP takes MYC down a more experimental, atmospheric road, having got the catchy Pop tune out of the way the guys are free to explore their electronic soundscapes which ranges from the eerie, to the frantic, to the majestic. Two reMixes of ‘Iris’ are also packed in the EP including the Sci-Fi Pop-Funk of the ‘LA2019’ reMix (which, surprisingly, doesn’t sounds like Vangelis).

Go Yoko!

goyoko

I’m not really sure how I feel about the existence of Southend electronica duo Go Yoko! yet. having risen from the ashes of one of the UK’s most promising SynthPop bands, The Vanity Clause, the fact that they exist means TVC doesn’t.

Still, can’t fault the music. Form their selection of frantic, and slightly experimental, dancefloor electronics ‘The Reaper’ and ‘Faster’ are the two stand-out’s for me. Both have a cinematic edge to them, both in the rapid-fire Italo basslines of ‘80’s action movies and the large Sci-Fi strings of the likes of Vangelis (who I’m pretty sure each one of Go Yoko!’s tracks contains at least one nod toward). ‘The Reaper combines the aforementioned Italo qualities with brutal Industrial percussion for an end result that’s borderline Old School EBM, while ‘Faster’ combines so many different elements without ever sounding messy or chaotic and soundtracks the action highpoint of a Sci-Fi movie I presume only exists in the guys heads. A promising start.

Erasure reMixed by Starshapes

Erasure

Erasure have just released the second single from their current, Frankmusik produced, ElectroPop masterpiece, ‘Tomorrow’s World’, ‘Be With You’.

Included in the reMix packager is this take on the track from London Indie-Pop trio Starshapes who turn in a sweeping five minutes of eclectic SynthPop. With a bit of a New Order flavour mixed in with modern a Indie production sound the reMix stands out on the single and makes Starshapes stand out as an act to keep an eye on.
