[Audio] Eumig & Chinon reMix Viceroy

Viceroy

Last week we previewed for you the new tune from San Francisco’s Viceroy and New York Disco Pop outfit Ghost Beach, While We’re In Love. Now check out one of the reMixes from the just release single package. This one comes from Danish Dreamwavers Eumig & Chinon.

It;s actually been a fair amount of time since we heard from these guys, it must be coming up to a year since they released anything,. We though they dropped of the map, but we’re pleased to discover they haven’t, and are still rockin’ just as hard as ever. If this is a comeback reMix, they comeback hard. Laying heavy Daft Punk-esque vocoders, chainsaw Disco synths and a juggernaut slap bass groove. All complementing Ghost House’s anthemic vocal to from a huge, peak time, Electro-Disco monster that is guaranteed to destroy dancefloors wherever it drops. A very welcome back to Eumig & Chinon.

‘Retro Futuristic Sound: Revisited 2k12’

kiez

KIEZ BEATS are about to release yet another awesome compilation of retro Electro sounds. These guys really are shifting, maybe under Futurecop!’s influence, straight into the SynthWave territory. Sure, there are still hints of Nu-Disco and Dreamwave scattered about ‘Retro Futuristic Sound: Revisited 2k12’’s whopping 20 tracks, but this is mostly headed down the same road as Outrun.

The line up is pretty amazing, loaded with retro  sounds and dance beats. Some of the highlights include The Toxic Avenger and Annie’s amazing ‘Alien Summer’ as reMixed by Eumig & Chinon. Pelifics and Electric Youth’s ‘Wish It Could Last’ also makes an appearance, sounding as ‘80’s as ever. Miami Nights 1984, one of the masters of SynthWave, brings his ‘Clutch’ to the proceedings, a soaring synthesizer epic. TEEEL gets a look in with his dreamy, Chillwavey, ‘Crystal Lake’ and the best thing to come out of Jakarta ever, Mjolnir, drop their Slick DiscoPop track with Dani, ‘Midway’. Futurecop! & Keenhouse; the video

Hot on the heels of the clip for ‘Starworshipper’ here’s the latest clip from Futurecop!, for the forthcoming, Keenhouse featuring ‘The Only Way’, which was ‘Dreams’ before that (being Futurecop! must get confusing).

Brandon Dermer directs this amazingly ‘80’s video, which is an awesome fun mini-movie.

‘The Only Way’ features on ‘The Adventures Of Starpony’ EP, out now.

Yelle

Yelle, easily one of the best live acts I have seen this year, is embarking on a US tour. If they are playing near you, especially if it’s quite an intimate venue, I strongly suggest a night out.

In celebration of tour embarking here’s a couple of reMixes of ‘Que Veux-Tu’ by Eumig & Chinon and Kap10Kurt. Both have been kicking about for a while now but both are seriously worth your listening minutes. E&C get sweet and soulful with their Disco Funk version of the track while the ElectroPop master Kap10Kurt works his mysterious cosmic Electro ways.
