Underhall

Underhall

Underhall are a brand new production duo from the south of France.

Comprised of Lucas and Roger, Underhall cite amongst their influences Electro, early House music and the video game 8-bit sounds.

On The Fruit Records have picked the guys up and are releasing their début EP ,‘Digithall’, which features reMixes from the likes of Freak You, Bestrack  and StereoHeroes and these three we can preview for you here. Bestrack bring a brilliant, absolutely huge Electro-House mix to the table, loaded with chainsaw synths. Freak You’s version is more epic sounding and Stereoheroes is a low down dirty Electro banger.

All three reMixes are top stuff!

Silver Columns

SilverColumns

Silver Columns are one of those mystery bands, everyone will speculate it’s someone we’ve all heard of, but it probably won’t be! They’re French (maybe?) and their first single was reMixed by Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, that’s about all we know.

Anyway, the music is what should be doing the talking and Silver Columns make some sweet ElectroPop, almost as enigmatic and mysterious sounding as the band’s persona. Their second single ‘Yes, And Dance’ was released this month and featured reMixes from Silver Columns themselves and Weirdo Police.

Check out the reMixes below, Silver Columns are defiantly a name to keep an eye on if your a fan of electronic dancey Pop

Delphic in Doubt

Delphic

I’ve been meaning to drop some Delphic on you for a while now. This Manchester Indie Dance outfit are making some pretty big waves amongst both music fans and press with some even going so far as to call them the “New Order for the 21st century”. Their last single “This Momentary” on Kitsuné Music was a genre crushing tune the received some pretty great acclaim and they have been tearing it up live un and down the UK.

Delphic are about to drop their début album ‘Acolyte’ on their own label Chimeric and here we have a couple of reMixes of the first single from the album, ‘Doubt’ by Riton and Ramadanman. Riton’s mix has already been floating around for a while and is a work of cut-up genius.

Also, if you’re interested, Delphic are holding a reMix competition for ‘Doubt’ over at their official website, check it out!

Nitzer Ebb return with new album

NitzerEbb

Electronic pioneers Nitzer Ebb have just dropped their first new, proper, studio album in 14 years! ‘Industrial Complex (Tour Edition)’ is a record that harks back to the earlier, harsher, Nitzer Ebb of the early to mid 80’s rather than the ElectroPop of ‘Showtime’ and ‘Ebbhead’ or the Electro-Rock of ‘Big Hit’. One thing’s for sure though, it put all the clones and wannabes ‘producing’ Ebb influenced EBM these days to so much shame they may as well just give up.

OK, so one or two tracks come across a little Nitzer-Ebb-by-numbers, but there are some gems in there to.

Once You Say (featuring Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore) is a heavy Electro Industrial stomper sweetened by Douglas’ trademark gritty vocals. ‘Hit You Back’ is more like something off ‘Showtime’ which is more of what I, personally, consider to be ‘classic Ebb’.

Italo from Fare Soldi

FareSoldi

It’s Italo time! Fare Soldi were featured on the compilation album ‘Italo School’ alongside the lieks of Crookers, Cecile, Scuola Furano, Blatta & Inesha and Pink is Punk.

Their track,’Tutto, Tutti, Sempre, Subito’, is an Acid laden, Italo, cowbell party with a sweet Disco flavoured mid-section.!

Kap10Kurt takes on Ocelot

Ocelot

Top reMixers Ocelot drop their artist album on Wall Of Sound soon and in gearing up for the release have roped in talent to reMix for them. Dreamwave pioneers Kap10Kurt take on their track ‘Our Time’

We’ve not heard anything from Kap10Kurt for a while but this reMix makes up for it. Big 80’s synth stabs and vocoders work the hell out of this Nu-Disco madness.

Ocelot’s album is due out next year.

Calling In Sick reMixes Bertie Blackman

BertieBlackman

I first fell in love with Calling In Sick’s music after I heard their storming reMix of Midfield General (Feat. ViLa)’s ‘Disco Sirens’.

The Aussie duo’s latest project is this rework of Bertie Blackman’s ‘Black Cats’ and it’s got that wicked digital slap bass and huge distorted synth riffs that I loved about Calling In Sick’s previous reMixes. This’ll tear up any electro dancefloor!

Bertie Blackman has just won ‘Breakthrough Independent Artist of the Year’ and ‘Best Independent Release’ at the Australian Independent Record Label Association Awards.

Uffie’s back!

Uffie

Well..it’s been a while since we’ve heard from Uffie, we’d seriously though she’d given up. But she’s finally back with some new material to prove to the wannabes (*ahem* Ke$ha) who Ed Banger’s queen of Electro Crunk really is!

Of course Uffie’s not the best rapper in the world, but there is just something about her, something unique (well, until major labels tried to clone her!) and ‘MCs Can Kiss’ just proves she’s still top of her game. Now if we could only work out what her game was the world would be a happier place!

Uffie – MC’s Can Kiss (Radio Rip) (zShare) (MediaFire)

Uffie’s long, long, long awaited album ‘Sex Dreams And Denim Jeans’ is out on Ed Banger Records next year. Maybe!
