Edwin Van Cleef is Overtaken
He’s dropped some killer remixes in recent times and it’s finally time for UK Dreamwave producer Edwin Van Cleef to release his début EP, ‘Overtaken’ and it’s already getting some Radio1 love!
‘Overtaken’ is a pumping House tune washed with soaring 80’s synth. With the mainstream radio play maybe Edwin is finally bringing the Dreamwave/Valerie-esq sound to the masses!
The reMix is provided by Mille who, already this month, wowed us with his mix of Marina And The Diamonds’ ‘Mowgli’s Road’. Here his work doesn’t drop the ball, quality-wise and his name defiantly goes on the “I’ll probably like reMixes by…” pile!
He even drops some C64/SID sounds toward the end for some massive 8-bit disco!

Dada Life get beeped
Swedish duo Dada Life, who are currently touring with Tiësto off the back of their début album ‘Just do The Dada’, are gearing up for the release of their next single ‘Let’s Get’ Beeped Tonight’ on Big & Dirty.
The single will feature reMixes from Don Rimini, Mustard Pimp and Tiësto himself and it’s a fun, analog, anthem in the way only Scandinavians can do!

Look out for the single, released soon:
More new Fan Death!
Here we have another sneak peek at Fan Death’s forthcoming, eagerly anticipate, EP ‘A Coin In The Well’!
‘Cannibal’ has got more of the strings 7 disco vibe that ‘Veronica’s Veil’ had compared to ‘Reunited’, the last track we heard. I couldn’t pick between the two for lead track though, I honestly can’t wait to hear the rest!

The ‘A Coin For The Well’ EP is out soon on The Pharmacy Recording Co. .
Ellie Goulding reMixes galore!
Ellie Goulding’s ‘Under the Sheets’ dropped yesterday and is destined for major success, the music blogosphere is awash with reMixes.
Here’s some of the best that have landed in the electronic rumors inbox. Baby Monster’s mix is making waves and it’s a pounding retro styled pop affair while The Knocks produce a Electro jam with a wicked big synth bassline. Pariah’s spacey Dubstep builds to an almost garage beat for it’s finale.

The Good Natured
Sarah McIntosh A.K.A. The Good Natured is currently making tiny ripples amongst the UK music press having been championed by, amongst others, The NME, The Guardian and PopJustice. Tiny ripples that are sure to grow into ElectroPop waves!
Beats that range from laidback grooves to more dancefloor and Drum & Bass tinged patterns provide the backdrop for cheap synths and Sarah’s heartfelt vocals.
Sounding a lot more raw and exiting than many of her contemporary female singer/songwriters, The Good Natured is a UK female fronted ElectroPop act who are headed for dark, dingy clubs rather than her peer’s glossy retro discos!

You can pick up The Good Natured ‘s ‘Your Body Is A Machine’ EP from either their MySpace or from Rough Trade records.
New Atomizer album out today!
Atomizer, being ex-Specimen keyboardist Johnny Slut and his DJ partner Fil OK, spearheaded the London electro scene in the early 2000’s with their legendary club night Nag Nag Nag, and arguably helped kick-off the Electro resurgence we are enjoying today.
Today they drop their second full length studio album after a run of fantastic EPs, titled ‘Cult Of Europa’ and it’s the sleazy, twisted, noisy SynthPop affair you would expect from these two, with a healthy dose of Acid burbling.

The XX Vs. Death To The Throne
This isn’t the first Death To The Throne we’ve featured on electronic rumors and it sure won’t be the last!
This time he’s tackling (possible split) London Indie darlings The XX’s anthem ‘shelter’ and delivers his usual quality churning the tune into a huge, soulful, Electro-House banger!

‘Shelter’ is taken from The XX’s self-titled début album…oh, and Death To The Throne has just bought some Axe body spray!
The Little Boots Of The Apocalypse
LA Experimental Electronica artist Daedelus is taking our Little Boots is strange new directions!
Industrial percussion and droning synths shouldn’t really work with Victoria’s Pop ditty, but you know what? It does!
It’s like The Little Boots Of The Apocalypse has come to crush us all!
♫ Little Boots – Earthquake (Daedelus reMix) (zShare) (MediaFire)
The ‘Earthquake’ single is due out November 13th.
Gatekeeper
If the Valerie crew are obsessed with 80’s teen and Sci-Fi movies then Chicago’s Gatekeeper must feel similarly about 80’s horror flicks.
50% hypnotic Electro-House and 50% John Carpenter-esq horror themes, Gatekeeper are the dark side of Dreamwave. The tracks have a sense of a mid 80’s industrial influence to them as well, kinda’ like an instrumental Skinny Puppy reMixed by Russ Chimes!
Whether your a fan of 80’s movie themes, dark Electronic music or the current crop of 80’s influenced Electro-House there is defiantly something for you here.

Dragonette Vs. Buffetlibre DJs
Marc & Miguel, The Buffetlibre DJs, have graced the electronic rumors Inbox with this, their reMix of Dragonette’s ‘Easy’ off of their latest album ‘Fixin’ To Thrill’.
The original is a pretty dark ElectroPop ballad, Buffetlibre bring the darkness back to the dancefloor and mix up the tune into an upbeat, hands in the air, anthem.
