Ever since I started this blog, all those 9 long days ago!, I have been waiting for the excuse to blog-the-shit-out-of Ladyhawke…and now my chance has come thanks to Electro newcomer KiD COLA. KiD’s reMix is a serious Electro Bass juggernaut, check it out:

So, what can I say about Pip Brown A.K.A. Ladyhawke that hasn’t already been said? I don’t want to be flippant with the word ‘genius’, but Ladyhawk’s self-titled début album for the almighty Modular Recordings is genius!

Easily one of my favourite albums of last year, top 5 at least! Pip is a world class songwriter and the album takes it’s 80′s influences without exaggerating or parodying them. I couldn’t choose a favourite track from the album, I think any tune on there would convince you to buy it. So have a taster, with the opening song ‘Magic’.
